In comparison to the heavier long swords, arming swords were considered the side arms of the medieval period, in the same way that soldiers often carry a pistol as a side arm to their rifle. This piece is dark and beautiful, like the Gothic period it hails from. It features a prominent type J pommel and a cruciform hilt, and the scabbard comes with its own belt and frog.
