White Deer 8" Damascus Steel Full-Tang Fixed-Blade Skinner-Hunting Knife with Grey Wood Handle
Designed with a compact profile and distinctive craftsmanship, this fixed-blade hunting knife features a patterned Damascus steel blade suited for hunting, camping, fieldwork, and general outdoor cutting tasks. The pointed blade and curved cutting edge provide a practical, versatile shape, while the layered steel pattern gives every knife a unique appearance.
The contoured dark-gray handle is secured with brass pins and paired with a polished metal bolster and brass spacer for a smooth, comfortable grip. Full-tang construction provides added strength, stability, and balance. A fitted black leather sheath with embossed detailing, bright red stitching, cream-colored trim stitching, and a snap-closure belt loop is included for protected storage and convenient carrying.
Damascus for this knife was created by forging and welding multiple layers of steel into a Solid block called a billet (15N20 & 1095 High Carbon Tool Steels). The billet is folded and re-welded several times to produce several layers. Patterns are created by manipulating steel during the forge-welding process. When acid is added to the blade, it attacks the layers of hard and soft steels differently, highlighting the attractive layered pattern in the Steel. The combination of layered hard and soft steel creates blade flexibility and toughness and produces invisible serrations on the blade that aid cutting. The hardness of the Damascus steel is 55-60 HRC on the Rockwell scale. This knife is a must-have for any hunter or outdoorsman! Must be 18 years or older to buy
