
This Fully battle-ready Bascinet with visor is a reconstruction of the late medieval 14th Century. The bascinet evolved in the early 14th Century from the cervelliere and was usually worn together with a chain mail shirt.
Its classic design featured an open-face skull cap with a visor attached to it protecting the face. At the bottom our reconstruction has drilled brass buttons where an aventail easily can be attached.
