This is the Medieval X-Large Butted Chainmail Shirt Mild Steel Round Ring Half Sleeve 16 Gauge Mild Steel with Templar Cross. Chain mail is one of the oldest forms of Armor, dating back to the mid 1st millenium BC. It was the armor of choice for many knights until the invention of plate armor in the 14th century.
This chainmail shirt is a great functional piece of armor. Featuring 16G mild steel round rings interlocked in a 4-in-1 pattern and butted, this chainmail haubergeon is ready for action. The high quality sturdy construction make this a great piece to wear for reenactments and display.
The chainmail is made of 16G mild steel round rings. Each ring is butted securely. Each individual ring measures about 0.40"/10mm in diameter. This shirt features half sleeves. Item comes covered in oil to protect from oxidation.
Front chest Templar Cross is butted with zinc plated finish 16G mild steel round rings.
The bottom of the chainmail shirt comes with the triangular shaped fringes design.
