The Hanwei version features a forged high-carbon steel blade tempered to HRC 54. Its central ridged fuller and full-length distal taper combine with the blade’s handling characteristics for speed and strength.
The grip is leather wrapped and laced. The guard and pommel have functional simplicity, and the scabbard is leather-covered with steel mounts.
