The Bushman Bowie is a fixed blade survival knife designed for bushcraft and outdoor tasks. It features a 7" plain edge blade, a black handle, and SK-5 high carbon steel construction.
Unlike most hollow handled knives, the blade and handle are cold forged from a single piece of steel. The knife is heat-treated and tempered to RC54, and the blade/handle transition has withstood over two tons of pressure in Cold Steel's testing.
Each blade is ground to an extra thin edge and hand honed and buffed until razor sharp. The hollow handle can accept survival supplies or handle extensions for added reach, leverage, or easier throwing, and it comes complete with a Secure-Ex sheath and Ferrocerium Fire Steel.
