This handmade Japanese samurai katana is built with a sharpened 29" blade and an overall length of 42.5". It features high carbon steel construction, blackened steel fittings, and a brand new finish.
The blade is full tang with an O-Kissake and includes a Bo-Hi on the top of the blade to help even out the weight and provide audible feedback. The handle measures 13.25" and is made with ray skin wrapped under black cotton ito, with bamboo mekugi securing the tang into the tsuka.
The saya is wooden with a high gloss black finish, and the black cotton sage-o is tied around a copper kurigata. The tsuba is blackened steel with a tea house and garden etched into the steel, and Date Masamune is shown on the reverse side with his war fan and katana.
