The CAS Hanwei Date Masamune Katana is a forged steel sword inspired by the One-Eyed Dragon of Oshu. Its 27 1/4" blade has a prominent, deep hamon and is described as well balanced for cutting or collecting.
Overall length is 40 5/8", with a 12 1/4" handle; weight is 2 lbs 9 oz. The blade steel is 65Mn, with HRC Edge 60 and HRC Back 40. Specs will vary slightly from piece to piece. Made in China.
