This 14th Century Medieval Type III (3) Gambeson is made of high quality, handmade, authentic reproduction. This gambeson is a period correct style.
It has heavy duty construction which is padded with three layers of cotton batting, which in combination with the natural fibers of its outer shell and lining makes it exceptionally breathable.
The gambeson possesses a tall collar and a short, laced-up neckline, with a long length that falls to the knees. True to surviving originals, the gambesons arms are hinged at the yoke of the shoulders, rather than fully sewn to the torso, so in effect the armpits are open.
This allows for greater ventilation and means absolutely no pull upon the arm when swinging a weapon.
Very flexable construction that allows you to move around freely without causing the armor to pull up.
Perfect for collectors, LARP and reenactment and medieval enthusiasts.
Note: Mannequin and arming cap sold separately. This is a handmade item and size might slightly varies from piece to piece. Please use the last image for size reference.
Color: Ecru (off white)
Material: Cotton with Wool felt lining
