This hand-made, full-tang Demon Slayer Tanjiro Kamado black Nichirin sword katana has a very sharp blade with a two-toned black and white edge finish. The blade is made of carbon stainless steel.
The overall length is 41 inches with the scabbard; the blade is 30 inches long and 6.4mm thick, and the handle is 11 inches long. The handle is wrapped in faux black leather with a red inner wrap. The guard and fittings are zinc alloy. The scabbard has wood construction with silver accessories.
In Demon Slayer lore, Nichirin blades take on a distinct color when first drawn by their owner, but the wielder needs a certain amount of skill for the blade to change color. Tanjiro Kamado wields a black Nichirin blade; its symbolism is unknown. Black blades are rare, and demon slayers who wield them are not said to tend to live long or become a Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps.
