Armor up, and prepare to fight for king and country with this intimidating visored bassinet helmet. This beautiful piece is inspired by early 14th century bassinets, which had been given visors to protect the face, a feature absent from earlier bassinets, but before the visors began to be drawn out into a beak or muzzle shape, common called a “pig-face.” The study 16 gauge steel on this helmet will serve well as protection during SCA armored fighting. The eye slits and air vents provide both good visibility and airflow.
