The Guiron The Courteous is a 14th-century knightly visored bascinet designed for fully armored knights and historical reenactments.
Handmade from 16 gauge MILD STEEL, it features a hinged visor for added versatility. The helmet has an inner circumference of 68 cm (before liner attachment) and will fit most head circumferences from about 58cm to 61cm, depending on the shape of the wearer’s head. If you plan to wear an additional padded cap, measure your head circumference while wearing it.
An adjustable genuine LEATHER LINER is already attached inside the helmet and is often enough for most adult male heads. A leather chin strap helps keep it secure battle after battle. Approximate measurements are 29 cm total height, 20 cm inner width at ear level, 27.9 cm inner depth from front to back at eye level, and eye slits of about (8.5×1.5) cm.
This helmet weighs about 4 Kg and 920 grams. It is carefully coated with a temporary layer of oil to protect against corrosion (rust) during packaging, and this can be wiped off with any oil remover or even a dry cloth. All measurements are approximate.
