The high-polished blue lacquered aluminum scabbard has a cord-wrapped sage-o and two golden fittings: an ornate end cap depicting a roaring dragon head and a throat fitting depicting 2 fighting dragons. The guard and blade collar are also golden; the detailed guard shows a dragon wrapped around the blade. The handle traces four oriental scenes separated by dragon scales, and the pommel ends in an opened-mouth dragon head.
