The Impact Pro electronic earmuff is designed for handgun and pistol shooters who want hearing protection while still hearing range commands and other ambient sounds.
It has a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 30 in both on and off mode. When switched on, built-in directional microphones amplify range commands and ambient sounds to a safe 82 dB for more natural listening and enhanced communication. The earmuff actively listens and automatically shuts off amplification when loud impulsive sounds, such as firearm discharges, reach 82 dB.
A padded headband with telescopic height adjustment allows a customized fit. Rubberized pressure points help prevent gunstock scratching. An external audio jack connects to an MP3 player, scanner, or other audio source. The automatic shut-off function activates after 4 hours to help extend battery life.
