The CAS Hanwei Kaeru (Frog) wakizashi has a hand-forged and folded powder steel blade with a medium-length (chu) kissaki. Its blackened iron tsuba features gold and silver detailing and a frog on a lily pad scene.

The saya is deeply lacquered in black, and the tsuka uses high quality ray skin (same) with premium dark blue Japanese cotton tsuka-ito. The silk sageo is woven in dark blue and moss green. The fuchi and kashira are black with brass detailing; the kojiri, koiguchi and kurikata are polished buffalo horn. The habaki is one-piece brass. This wakizashi features traditional construction.
