The Kershaw Launch 15 is a full-size automatic knife with a bayonet-style spear point blade and plain edge. Its low-profile push button opens the blade and helps make accidental deployment harder. The blade uses CPM MagnaCut powdered metallurgy steel, which offers edge retention, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and toughness. Its black-oxide BlackWash coating helps hide use scratches.
The handle combines black-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum with tan and black canvas micarta inserts on both sides and a thin micarta backspacer. The blade is 3.5 in. (8.9 cm) long and 0.12 in. (3 mm) thick. The handle is 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) thick; the knife measures 4.9 in. (12.4 cm) closed and 8.5 in. (21.3 cm) overall, and weighs 3.1 oz. (88 g).
