The Medieval Gears 18 Gauge Steel Plate Armor Classic Gorget is a pointed neck protector designed for SCA and LARP use. It is worn over the shoulders to help protect the neck, throat, and part of the chest and back.
This gorget is made from 18 gauge Steel/Leather, comes polished, and has a basic finish with no rivets and neck piece. It measures 6" in length with a 6.7" neck diameter.
This style of armor was intended to deflect blows from swords, spears, and clubs, and later fell out of use as more powerful ranged weapons were introduced to the battlefield.
