This Medieval Paladin Crusader Knight Sword of Roland with Scabbard is inspired by the legendary second generation edition of Durendal, the sword of Roland.
It features a 440 stainless steel blade with a mirror polished finish, an unsharpened edge, and a very sharp point. The sword measures 35" overall, with a 7" handle and a 27.5" blade. The blade includes a short ricasso at the base and a ridge running the length of the blade.
The guard is solid steel with two lion heads at each end of the quillons, patterned steel arms with a laurel leaf design, and a rain guard with the ancient symbol of Roland that fits seamlessly into the scabbard throat. The handle is solid steel with steel cords crisscrossing the grip, and the pommel is an ornate cross with an aesthetic tang button.
The scabbard is wooden with a dull black finish, a steel throat with Roland initials, and a steel ball point drag with Roland initials on each side. The sword can be used single handed or double handed.
