This is the Munetoshi 1095 High Carbon Steel Katana. The blade is made of 1095 modern alloy high carbon steel and features an elegant gunome hamon pattern with the medium amount of niku. The chu-kissaki or medium length tip is nicely polished with a yakizumi boshi that does not turn back towards the spine. The tsuka or handle is double mekugi pinned and has real samegawa or rayskin panels and is wrapped with black chemical ito with brass crane menuki. Featuring deluxe fittings with solid blackened steel fuchi and kashira, a blackened good quality steel Musashi style tsuba and an elegantly appointed black lacquered saya.
Blade: The blade of the Katana has been constructed from 1095 high carbon steel with clay temper process. The hamon has been authentically created and features a Gunome design with a prominent Nie line. The Kissaki is a Chu-Kissaki design with a Midare-komi turn back. Guard: The solid steel guard is a Musashi style double rings tsuba. Handle: Traditional Japanese style chemical fiber wrapped handle with real samegawa and double mekugi pins.
