The Munetoshi Water Dragon Handmade Differentially Hardened Samurai Sword Daisho Set includes a katana, wakizashi, and a deluxe sword stand. Designed for enthusiasts and martial artists, this daisho set features a traditional paired sword presentation.
Both blades are differentially hardened 1060 carbon steel with authentic midare hamon, full tang construction, and sharp edges. The katana has no bohi / no blood groove, while the wakizashi is very sharp.
The saya are wooden with a black gloss finish and blue chemical fiber sageos. The tsuka feature blue chemical fiber over real ray skin samegawa, brass habaki, blackened iron water dragon tsubas, higo-style fuchigashira, and bamboo mekugi.
Katana: overall length 39.125", nagasa 27" (with habaki length 28.25"), tsuka length 10.75", balance point 5.25", weight w/o saya 2.1 lbs, mono steel lamination, HRC 52 Degrees.
Wakizashi: overall length 27.25", nagasa 19.75" (with habaki length 21"), tsuka length 6.75", balance point 3.5", weight w/o saya 1.6 lbs, mono steel lamination, HRC 52 Degrees. Both swords include a sword bag and are brand new.
