This handmade, full-tang Kill Bill Budd's samurai katana has a 40-inch overall length and a 27.5-inch high-carbon steel blade with a hand-honed, sharpened edge. The blade is hammered for evenly distributed carbon and consistent hardness, and features a kissake, hamon, and the inscription: “To my brother Budd. The only man I ever loved.” A cotton sword bag is included. Buyers must be 18 years or older.
The hardwood saya has a black high-gloss lacquered finish, black cord sage-o wrapped over a bright copper kurigata, and an engraved and painted Hanzo steel symbol with a devil face below it. The saya has dual bamboo peg construction. At the guard, a single-piece brass habaki fits over a copper seppa; the solid steel alloy tsuba has a beaded pattern, with another seppa securing it to the handle.
The wooden tsuka is laid over the blade tang and covered with imitation ray-skin same and black cotton ito. Two bamboo mekugi secure the tang. The handle is cotton-cord wrapped over hardwood.
