The Musashi T10 steel handmade katana features a sharp high carbon steel blade with a choji-midare hamon pattern and light niku. Its extended chu-kissaki, or medium-length tip, is polished. The blade is 28.75" long; overall length is 40.25" and the tsuka is 11" long.
The handle has a wood core, real samegawa (rayskin) panels, black chemical fiber ito and double mekugi pins, with brass ken menuki. Fittings include blackened iron fuchi and kashira. The description identifies a blackened iron leaf-style tsuba; the specifications also describe a solid steel bamboo-style tsuba and list the guard material as blackened iron. The wooden saya has a black lacquer finish, horn koiguchi and black synthetic fiber sageo.
The sword weighs 2 lb 9.8 oz without the saya and has an approximate Rockwell hardness of 58 HRC. It comes with a deluxe display box, maintenance kit, sword bag and Musashi certificate of authentification. Condition: brand new. Sword stand sold separately.
