The Musha Handmade Full Tang Orchid Katana is a brand-new sword with an overall length of 38.75 inches. Its sharp, handmade high-carbon steel blade measures 27.75 inches, and the tsuka is 10.75 inches long. A cotton sword bag is included.
The blade is hammered to distribute carbon evenly for consistent hardness. It has a Bo-Hi to decrease blade weight and provide audible feedback when swung, as well as a kissake, hamon, and thin sharpened edge. The saya is hard wood with a black dull gloss finish; its black cord Sage-o is wrapped over a bright copper Kurigata, and the Koi-guchi is a steel fitting with a golden orchid.
The one-piece brass Habaki and polished steel disc Tsuba are secured with two Seppas; the Tsuba has a golden orchid on each side. The wooden Tsuka core has imitation ray skin Same and black cord Ito. Two bamboo Mekugi secure the blade tang in the Tsuka, which is decorated with two golden Menuki, one on each side. The Fuchi matches the Koi-guchi design, and the Kashira is a golden orchid.
