The Sam Hill Chest Rig is a low-profile chest carrier that holds three standard-capacity AR mags and two double-stack pistol mags. It includes an X-Harness, a back strap, and two shock cord loops with cord locks—one on each end—designed to retain items such as a tourniquet or IFAK.
The X-Harness is made from 1-inch mil-spec nylon webbing and woven elastic, with bar tacks at high-stress points. It laces through a Cordura keeper at the back to create a clear head hole and two arm holes. The harness and back strap have mil-spec woven elastic sewn in at strategic points for comfort while moving; the back strap helps keep the rig stable and tight against the torso. The keeper is constructed of Cordura, and the buckle hardware is B52 Squadron ITW.
The placard uses mil-spec woven elastic, which is stronger and more durable than knit elastic, with bar tack stitching at high-stress points. AR mag pockets terminate in an elastic loop; pistol mag pockets terminate in a bar tack. All mag pockets are 4 inches deep. Overall length, including buckles, is 19 inches.
