The Streetwise Security Rear Guard is a flexible ballistic shield insert for an everyday backpack, laptop case, or handbag. Made in the USA from Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE), it has no metal and conforms to the bag it is placed in.
The insert was independently tested to National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Level 3A standards. It is designed to help protect against nearly all handgun rounds, including 9mm and .44 Magnum, as well as sharp or pointed weapons. The supplier describes it as half the thickness and lighter than similar-looking panels imported from China, and says it can be used for up to seven years.
Choose from 8X10, 10X13, 11X14, or 11X17. The insert can be removed and transferred to another bag, and is described as airport and TSA friendly.
