The Red Moshiro Honmono Functional Japanese Sword is a handcrafted katana built with an authentic Moshiro 1045 High Carbon Steel blade.
Each blade is heat treated through a proprietary process for the right balance of steel toughness and hardness, then sharpened and honed at a 15 degree angle for a superb cutting edge. It also features a weight-reducing blood groove that runs the length of the blade, plus a durable 8mm thick blade with a sharp Kisaki and Yokote.
The handle is made of sturdy hardwood and wrapped in genuine Ray skin with black Ito wrap. Dual bamboo pegs secure the full tang to the handle. Includes a hardwood Saya and cloth sword bag.
