The Roman Gladius Sword By Legacy Arms is a classic Imperial Roman short sword inspired by an original found in the ruins of Pompeii, reliably dated to 79 CE.
It features a double edged high carbon blade, a hard wood handle, and a high polished steel spacer at the bottom of the handle for strength and durability. This new version also has a reduced handle radius for a better grip, plus redesigned handle and blade lengths for improved balance and handling.
The sword includes a wood scabbard wrapped in black leather with steel accents at the throat and tip. The scabbard has also been improved with a stainless accoutrements and a leather wrap. Wood grains and tones will vary from sword to sword.
