Heavy Guard Cover Control
The Ryugi Heavy Guard Talisman Hook is a heavy-duty guarded hook designed for power spinning and baitcasting tackle with 6 lb or heavier line when fishing around light to moderately heavy cover. Based on the highly regarded Talisman wacky hook, its shape has been slightly modified to accommodate a two-wire guard system. The two tensioned wires are positioned on the left and right sides of the hook point to provide guarding not only from above but also against contact with structure from either side. The guard does not attach directly to the hook point, allowing it to clear away when needed without requiring constant resetting. Its design also makes the guard easy to reshape after catching fish, while moving the guard toward the line eye can increase its resistance when additional protection is needed.
