The Ryujin Customized Sword is a katana shinken built in the classic Shinogi Zukuri blade geometry. It features a 27.5” blade and an 11.5” handle, making it a strong choice for advanced Japanese swordsmanship practice, iaido, and tamashigiri.
This sword uses a 1095 carbon steel blade with differential clay hardened (water) steel tempering, Revere hadori polish, and a Gunome/Midare hamon. The mounting includes a Steel 1045 tsuba, Steel Higo antique patina fuchi / kashira, brass menuki, copper or brass seppa, copper or brass habaki, 2x bamboo mekugi, Rayon silk tsuka-ito, Rayon silk sageo, White samegawa, and Buffalo horn koiguchi / koijiri.
Custom options include multiple tsuba, saya, and tsuka combinations. Available variant sets include Fugaku, Shishi Botan, Raikuo, Kamakiri, Kaitatsu, Tsuru, Hitaka, Musashi, and Ryujin with Red With Black Fittings / Gloss Black, plus Fugaku, Shishi Botan, and Raikuo with Blue With Black Fittings / Gloss Black.
