The Samlex America SCC-1208L is a micro-controller-based solar charge controller for 12V nominal solar panels and 12V battery systems. It manages up to 150 Watts of solar power and provides three-stage charging—Bulk, Absorption, and Float—for 100% return of capacity and long battery life. Compatible battery types are Flooded/Wet Cell (also described in the product overview as Flooded/Web Cell) or Sealed AGM.
Its totally sealed, splash-proof, weather-resistant design has an Ingress Protection Rating of IP65. The controller automatically turns on lights when dark and turns them off during the day. MOSFET-based reverse-current blocking prevents nighttime battery discharge and lowers power loss. Protections include overload, over-temperature, battery under/over voltage, and reverse polarity. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +60°C.
