The Schaefer Hawk Race is a wind indicator for single handed racing dinghies. It brings the benefits of the Hawk Wind indicator with a V jewel bearing and balanced vane arm.
Designed primarily for larger single-handed dinghies, it mounts securely at gooseneck height in front of the mast for quick and accurate wind direction reference without looking at the top of the mast. It is ideal for both upwind and downwind reference.
The Hawk Race is easy to mount and remove with a secure adjustable bracket. Its aluminum support rod can be bent to the angle required and straightened if accidentally knocked. Vane arm length: 27cm (10.6"). Weight: 32 grams.
