The Schaefer Marine Little Hawk Race is a wind indicator for racing boats up to 8m. It takes the popular Mk 1 Wind Indicator design and uses a minimal-length vane with a robust, lightweight mounting system. Schaefer describes it as the lightest, least-drag wind indicator on the market today; UV protection is intended to prevent performance degradation for many years.
The vane arm is 16.5cm (6.5"), the height is 14cm (5.5"), and the weight is 14 grams. The mast clamp is secured to the mast with two included self-tapping screws. The Little Hawk Race pushes into the clamp and can be removed easily.
