The Scout Chest Rig - Core System is a streamlined setup for carrying essentials on a quick day trip or while working from base camp. The listed system components are the weatherproof Scout Chest Pack, Hexair H-Harness and back strap, Hip Pack, and Switch Belt. The pack holds 2.2L and measures 9 ½” wide x 6 ½” tall x 2.25” deep.
The chest pack has a mil-spec 500D DWR Cordura outer shell that is Berry Compliant, with a waterproof ripstop nylon internal lining. Cordura B52 Squadron MOLLE panels cover the front and bottom; B52 Squadron is two layers of 500D Cordura laminated together. A 3/8"-thick 3D spacer mesh back panel provides ventilation and also functions as a quick-access pocket. Laser-cut, bar-tacked B52 Squadron attachment loops hold buckle hardware and serve as connection points for auxiliary SG-Fieldcore pouches.
The pack has a front exterior pocket and a main compartment, with YKK AquaGuard exterior zippers and Posi-Lock paracord pulls on all zippers. The main compartment is lined throughout with mil-spec Velcro loop, and portions of the front zipper pocket interior are also loop-lined for attaching accessories. The main pouch has four interior and two exterior loops for anchoring tethers, attaching clipped gear, or securing tools. Two Nyspan exterior pockets on each side are designed for hemostats and pot call strikers. A carry handle is made from 3/8"-wide, 1000-pound test nylon strap coated in PVC.
The lightweight, thin H-Harness is made from Cordura B52 Squadron and mil-spec woven elastic, with a laser-cut Hexair pattern for airflow. ITW QASM buckles attach to the chest pack’s top male side-lock buckles. The back strap uses 1" mil-spec nylon webbing and elastic. A net loop sits on the back of the harness below a wide field of Velcro loop. Made in the USA by American craftsmen in Lindon, Utah.
