The Sharps Bros. Heatseeker is a black chassis system for the Ruger American Short Action in 308 WIN or 6.5 Creedmoor. It upgrades a traditional factory rifle stock to an enhanced magazine-fed system.
Machined from billet high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum, the chassis weighs 1 lb, 3 oz. The included 14" handguard weighs 10 oz and is cut from a unique extrusion shape exclusive to Sharps Bros. Both the chassis body and handguard have a matte black Cerakote finish. The handguard has M-LOK slots on 4 sides and two quick disconnect fittings per side for sling attachment.
The chassis has a standard AR-15 grip and AR buffer interface; add your pistol grip and stock of choice. It is compatible with AICS short action magazines from Magpul and Accuracy International. Simplified instructions and functionality make installation possible without a gunsmith.
