This Sturdy Functional Steel Umbo For Viking Or Celtic Shields, 12 Gauge is painstakingly handcrafted from sturdy 12 gauge MILD STEEL and makes a functional shield boss.
Its natural texture gives it a raw medieval look, making it well suited for Viking or Celtic shield builds that call for an authentic steel umbo. It measures approximately 20.3 cm in diameter and about 5.7 cm in height.
The umbo weighs about 730 grams and is coated with a layer of oil when packaged as a temporary protective layer against corrosion (rust). This oil can be easily wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
