The Synthetic Single Hand Sparring Sword - Silver Blade by Red Dragon Armoury is a training sword designed for sparring and theatrical use.
The blade flexes in the last one-third of its length toward the tip, helping support safer thrusting than conventional wooden wasters or shinai. A high tensile steel rod runs along the full length of the handle to reduce the handle flex often found in plastic training swords. The grips are made from a rubber-like thermoplastic elastomer designed to absorb the impact of strikes and provide a tight fit on the tangs.
This sword features a Silver Blade, Black Guard, Brown Handle, and Black Wheel Pommel. It is made in the U.K. and is part of Red Dragon's interchangeable synthetic sword system, which allows many different sword styles to be created on a single blade.
