This limited-edition British Commando Damascus hunter knife has a round handle, a genuine brass guard, and a trailing-point blade. Overall length is 12 inches; the blade is 7.2 inches long and 5mm thick, and the handle is 5.1 inches long. A genuine White Deer leather sheath is included.
The Damascus blade is made from 1095 high-carbon tool steel and 15N20 alloy. Multiple steel layers are forge-welded into a billet, then folded and re-welded several times; acid highlights the layered pattern. The blade is full tang with a carbon steel tang, razor sharp and functional, and rated 55-60 HRC on the Rockwell scale. The description states that the layered hard and soft steels provide flexibility and toughness and create invisible serrations that aid cutting.
