The White Deer Damascus Steel Kukri Skinner Knife is a custom-made, full-tang traditional skinner knife, also named Buffalo Skinner. Its exotic wood handle is made of olive wood and has brass pins spanning the handle.
The Damascus blade is made by forge-welding multiple layers of 15N20 and 1095 high-carbon tool steels into a solid billet. The billet is folded and re-welded several times, and the steel is manipulated during forge welding to create its pattern. Acid highlights the layered pattern by reacting differently with the hard and soft steels.
The layered hard and soft steel creates blade flexibility and toughness, while producing invisible serrations that aid cutting. Damascus steel hardness is 55-60 HRC on the Rockwell scale.
A genuine leather sheath is included, with a belt loop on one end.
