The White Deer Damascus steel straight razor has an olive wood handle and comes with a genuine leather sheath. Its spine is file worked, and a mosaic pin is embedded in the handle; silver pins span the blade.
The blade is made from a billet forge welded from layers of 15N20 and 1095 high carbon tool steels. The billet is folded and re-welded several times, and acid highlights the layered pattern by affecting the hard and soft steels differently. The Damascus steel hardness is 55-60 HRC on the Rockwell scale.
The layered hard and soft steel is described as providing flexibility and toughness, with invisible serrations that aid cutting.
