The XS Big Dot Tritium Night Sight is a front sight upgrade for a home defense shotgun. It is designed for shotguns with a bead mounted directly to the barrel, including Mossberg, Remington, and others.
The Big Dot helps with rapid alignment and indexing on the threat. The white dot reflects ambient light for better visibility in low light or shadows, while the center tritium vial glows green in low to no light for 24/7 use.
This sight glues over the front bead and the bead must be 0.120”-0.140” in diameter. If the factory bead is not the correct size, Brownells #6 or #26 bead is suggested. The Mossberg factory bead with hex base must be replaced, and the bead hole may require opening up to a larger size by drilling & tapping. The Outside Diameter of the Big Dot is 0.188″.
The XS Big Dot Tritium Front Sight is a stand alone solution and does not work with any rail or Ghost Ring solution. A conversion bead for Mossberg shotguns is included in the kit.
