The Xtreme Synthetic Single Hand Blade by Red Dragon Armoury is made from a special-purpose high-impact polymer for strong, flexible sparring characteristics. This blade is also used with the Basket Hilt.
It is designed to flex in the last one-third of its length toward the tip for safer thrusting than conventional wooden wasters or shinai. A high tensile steel rod runs the full length of the handle to reinforce the blade/tang joint and remove the handle flex typically associated with plastic training swords. Use with appropriate protective clothing during sparring.
